ENGLEWOOD FISHING AREA

The fishing in the Englewood, Boca  Grande and Venice areas are excellent all year round from near shore to our long range trips offshore 60 + miles. In our area we have many wrecks and artifical reefs that hold large numbers of snapper and grouper, such as the Mangrove and the Yellowtail Snapper and the Black and Red Grouper, also the big daddy GOLIATH GROUPER topping out some500-600 pounds, just to name a few. Also in our area we have Cobia, Kingfish, Dolphin, Spanish Mackerel, Blackfin Tuna, Permit, Amberjack, and we cannot leave out the Silver King Tarpon.We also have a large number of sharks like the Bull, Hammerhead and the Lemon. For shark fishing check for best dates. As a Charter Capt. and a person that loves to fish, I suggest to keep what you want to eat and practice catch and release.
